The complete subtitle reads " Ganwyn Cleifon yn St. Clears 1858. Treuliodd y rhan fwyaf o'i oes yng Nghaerdydd fel swyddog ar y Rheilffordd. Bu farw Awst 1919 a chladdwyd ef ym mynwent Seion, St. Clears. Ysgrifennodd y darnau barddonol yma o dro i dro i gyfnodolion a phapurau wythnolsol Cymru, a chasglwyd hwynt gan ei ferch". We are uncertain if Phoebe A Evans is the author, editor, or translator of this work.
